ROUGH GUIDES intouch

is designed to help the traveller prepare for their travels before they leave home, and to act as a communications hub for them whilst they are away. Therefore, the software has a home PC element and a web element – which is hosted on our servers.

The two elements can be synchronised by the user to ensure that the same information is held on our servers as has been built on the home PC – and vice versa.

To load at home you need:

        o A personal computer Pentium II 233Mhz equivalent or higher processor.
        o Microsoft Windows XP, 98, 2000, NT or ME operating system.
        o 32Mb RAM - 64Mb for Windows 2000
        o 10Mb Hard Disk space
        o Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

To use whilst travelling you need:

        o Access to an internet café

Of course, you may travel with a laptop, in which case you just need a telephone point.

There is SMS functionality built in (send a text message to us, it automatically updates your diary, and the message is automatically forwarded to your distribution list by email/sms). For this you will need a mobile phone with SMS functionality.
